First Consultation & Planning
Your orthodontic journey with metal braces starts with a free consultation at our Erie, Lawrence Park, or Corry office. Dr. Doleski or Dr. Wolford will conduct a thorough examination.
Our team will take X-rays and impressions, to assess your dental needs. Based on this evaluation, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your orthodontic requirements.
Placing Your Braces
During your next visit, Dr. Doleski or Dr. Wolford will place the braces on your teeth. They’ll bond the metal brackets to the front of each tooth, and thread a thin archwire through them.
This archwire applies gentle, continuous pressure to move your teeth into alignment. Small, comfortable elastics secure the archwire, and come in various colors to personalize your braces.
Regular Adjustments
Regular check-ups are essential for the success of your orthodontic treatment. You’ll visit our office every four to six weeks for adjustments.
During these visits we’ll make any necessary changes to ensure your teeth are moving according to plan. These appointments allow us to monitor your progress and address any concerns along the way.
Completion of Treatment
When your teeth have reached their new positions, Dr. Doleski or Dr. Wolford will remove your braces, revealing your new, beautifully aligned smile.
To maintain your results, you will be provided with a custom retainer to wear as directed by your orthodontist.
